The website that I choose to pick as a reliable source when discussing global warming is:
https://www.beforetheflood.com
before the flood is a documentary that Leonardo DiCaprio created with national geography that discusses the problem of global warming and how it is, and will change the earth. In the website I think the things that make the website credible is all of the different aspects and links in the website are all cited by very high up organizations or university. There are quotes from different people like the Secretary General,  Dr. James Hanson from Columbia University, even Leonardo himself is the U.N. messenger of Peace for the Climate. However, even along with the quotes oneself would be able to click on individual links that discuss different places on our that the documentary takes place, and even the experts on the topic of global warming. You are able to read about each person in more depth to get a sense of what they do and how well they know the topic at hand. Some of these people even have P.HDs. You are able to explore astronauts, environment futurist, United Nation members, Economist, mathematicians, etc. The website all together really goes more in depth into how the documentary was created and filmed. The documentary itself is amazing, but the website really helps piece everything together and really gives more information on just how important global warming is.

  1. This is an interesting example. I would argue that you always need to be careful with .com websites and commercial entities, in general. You certainly need to keep in the back of your mind that they are trying to sell you something. The glossy packaging and fancy gimmicks are there to get you to buy in, to become invested, literally. That's not to say all commercial entities are not to be trusted, but be aware that they are usually under no obligation to be completely forthright.
